Activision Blizzard recently launched Level Up U, a 3-month training program for engineering candidates who are passionate about our games and want to launch their careers in the gaming industry. Participants will have the opportunity to learn directly from some of the most accomplished engineering talent across our business, including leaders from Activision Publishing, Blizzard Entertainment and King.

Level up “You”: This is about you and your potential – regardless of the extent of your previous industry experience. If you have a programming background, an interest in games, and a life-long-learner mentality, you should apply to Level Up U.

During Level Up U, you will:
 

• Develop a high-level understanding of technical game content creation and engineering
• Reinforce critical programming fundamentals that are most important for game development
• Learn directly from senior Activision Blizzard leaders, who will serve as program facilitators
• Collaborate with peers using project-based assignments
• Learn about our values and how Activision Blizzard is influencing the future of gaming

During Level Up U, you will undergo technical and skills-based training, using both traditional classroom and hands-on learning. To create an immersive experience and foster community, there will be some on-site programming in southern CA during the program. If you have personal or extenuating circumstances and cannot temporarily relocate for Level Up U, there may be accommodations you can discuss with your recruiter at the time of offer.

After graduating from Level Up U, you will move to a regular full-time engineering role at Activision Blizzard that takes into account both your personal interests and the needs of the organization.
